Hospitality kept in the spirit of Kateel
A family-run guest house built for the people who come to Sri Durga Parameshwari Temple — pilgrims first, guests always.
Started to make one part of the pilgrimage simpler
Kateel has always drawn devotees from across the coast and beyond, arriving for darshan at Sri Durga Parameshwari Temple at every hour of the day. Samhita Guest Rooms began with a plain idea: the stay before and after darshan should be as unhurried as the temple visit itself.
Housed in the Shree Gopalakrishna Asranna Building, directly behind the temple, we keep our rooms simple and spotless rather than elaborate — a place to bathe, rest, and set out again with an unburdened mind.
Blessed living, divine comfort — in practice
-
1
Cleanliness above all
Rooms and linen are turned over between every guest — no shortcuts, whatever the season's rush.
-
2
Honest pricing
Rates are quoted plainly over the phone before you book — no surprises added at check-in.
-
3
A family, not a front desk
The Asranna family runs the property directly, so the person who takes your call is the person who greets you.
-
4
Built around the temple's rhythm
Check-in and check-out are kept flexible around darshan and pooja timings whenever we can manage it.
Every guest who walks in is, first, a devotee on their way to the Goddess.
